“Able to speak five languages fluently"
My Story: I started my career by enrolling at the local catering college at a very early age. Set on travelling Europe to learn languages and experience life in different countries I worked in Italy, Belgium and France until I reached London and Le Gavroche by the age of 23. I started as a waiter, then sommelier and Maître d’ before being promoted to general manager, becoming the youngest award winning restaurant manager in London at the age of 27. I have now retired but remain closely involved as a Director.
Funny Story: A regular customer at the Gavroche was coming everyday for 18 years in the restaurant for lunch. Few years before he died he was suffering from Alzheimer and sometimes after he finished his lunch he was turning up half an hour later for lunch again.
