“From disappointing exam results to hotel general manager by 23”

With disappointing exam results and no real career ambitions established I joined a kitchen porter team and room service department for a holiday job in order to earn my keep. I was promoted to Head Kitchen Porter and continued to work throughout the Summer. At the holidays it was suggested that perhaps I should apply for a position as Management Trainee due to my commitment and enthusiasm, this can only be described as an accidental start to what is now a well established career.

Current Position: Proprietor

Sports: I’m not really a big football fan, however, I do run the catering business at Blackburn Rovers so I guess you could say I’m a Blackburn Supporter
